The 2026 APWA Wisconsin Chapter Fall Conference will be held October 28 through October 30, 2026 at the Stoney Creek Conference Center in Onalaska, WI. The conference will be hosted by Jarrod Holter of the City of Onalaska and the APWA Wisconsin Chapter.

GOLF OUTING: The shotgun start begins at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28th at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek, 2600 Cedar Creek Ln, Onalaska, WI. Shotgun format; $70 per person gets you 18 holes with golf cart and a box lunch. TICKET SALES END AT 5 PM ON OCTOBER 16, 2026 – LIMITED TO 60 GOLFERS. Golf outing organize by Kevin Schubert, City of Onalaska, Contact Kevin to set up preferred 4-somes.

Wednesday: Technical tour of the Mathy Construction testing and research lab
BICYCLE RIDE: Details to come. Tentatively planned to arrive in time to join Mathy Construction testing and research Lab tour.
TRUCK ‘N TREAT RETURNS! – PROMOTING PUBLIC WORKS TO CHILDREN is a fun, family-friendly community event where kids can explore big trucks, equipment, and service vehicles while collecting candy and prizes from each stop. Hosted by the APWA Wisconsin Chapter in partnership with the City of Onalaska, the event combines Halloween fun with hands-on learning — giving families a chance to see the trucks and tools that help keep our city running. Children are encouraged to come in costume, bring a treat bag, and enjoy a safe outdoor experience celebrating public works. All conference attendees are welcome and encouraged to take part by hosting a table or decorating a truck with a Halloween theme. More Details coming soon!
GET ACQUAINTED PARTY: The Get Acquainted Party will be held with the La Crosse Curing Club at the Omni Center, 4255 Riders Club Rd, Onalaska, WI 54650. Come meet your old and new public works colleagues, learn to curl, have some food and beverages, and enjoy the night. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. There will be shuttles running from the Stoney Creek Hotel beginning at 4:30 p.m.
SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET: The Thursday evening Scholarship Banquet will begin with a social hour followed by a buffet-style dinner and presentation of APWA Wisconsin Chapter Scholarship Awards to several students pursuing technical or undergraduate degrees in programs related to public works and municipal engineering. The banquet will be held in the North Woods Conference Room at the Stoney Creek Conference Center.

| Wisconsin Chapter Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made by the late registration date listed on the conference webpage and registration portal. A full refund will be made for any refund request received by the close of that day. A twenty-five-dollar ($25) administrative fee may be charged for all cancellations depending on venue and meal reservation costs after the later registration date. Special circumstances will be decided on a case-by-case basis, first by the host committee and then approved by the Executive Committee if necessary. The host committee must receive all special circumstance requests within seven (7) days after the start of the event. All requests received after this date will be denied. Individuals requesting a refund are required to submit their requests to the host committee. All approved refund requests will be issued via the Whova portal. |
