Mission Statement
The Leadership and Management Committee shall provide direction within the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Public Works Association and to motivate its membership to foster qualities of effective leadership and management within the professions responsible for development and administration of public works infrastructure.

Goal
The primary goal of the Leadership and Management Committee is to provide direction and motivation to the membership to foster qualities of effective leadership and management within the profession. The Committee welcomes input from APWA members and community leaders.

EMERGING PUBLIC WORKS LEADERS PROGRAM (APPLICATIONS FOR 2024 CANDIDATES DUE APRIL 18, 2024)

One of the key initiatives of the committee is fostering interest in the Emerging Public Works Leaders Program (EPWLP) at both the Chapter and National APWA levels. The purpose of this program is to foster the growth of new leaders within the organization. Since inception in the Wisconsin Chapter, the program has been very successful in strengthening our leadership team.

The Wisconsin Chapter Emerging Public Works Leaders program accepts applications in May of each year. Please see links below for details about the WI Chapter Emerging Leaders Program.

2023 Emerging Leaders Class

Ela Lodzinski, Project Engineer with Baxter & Woodman and Britney Meyer, Civil Engineer with GRAEF in Milwaukee, WI were selected for the Wisconsin Chapter 2023 Emerging Leaders Program. Ela and Britney both attended the 2023 PWX in San Diego, CA.
