Welcome to the Lake Area Public Works Association (LAPWA)!

2024 Meetings

The purpose of LAPWA is to share ideas and /or to exchange and discuss mutual problems and solutions. The organization consists of Public Works Directors, City Engineers, Street Superintendents, and vendors involved in providing municipal services.

The benefit of being a part of LAPWA is to make your job easier by providing resources for you to fulfill the requirements of your job, to introduce you to individuals in similar positions in other communities, and to provide an outlet for the open communication of concerns and solutions to problems that are easy to complex.

Through your involvement in LAPWA you will be able to share your ideas and solutions as well as to receive them, to prevent the need to “Reinvent the wheel” for policies and procedures required in your daily work. LAPWA is a low cost/high return organization that meets every other month (6 times a year) to provide informational presentations, and the opportunity for members to meet new people involved in the field of Public Works.

Consider becoming a part of the Lake Area Public Works Association! You can never have too many resources available to you.
