The 2024 APWA Wisconsin Chapter Spring Conference will be held May 1-3, 2024 at the Monona Terrace in downtown Madison. The conference will be hosted by the City of Madison Engineering Department, Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District, and the Wisconsin Chapter. APWA Wisconsin Past-President Eric Dundee of the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is the conference chair.

REGISTRATION: We have set up separate Attendee and Exhibitor Registration portals in the Whova app. The Exhibitor Registration portal is just for registration of Exhibits, which includes a full conference registration, and Additional Exhibitors, who will attend just exposition parts of the conference on Wednesday evening and Thursday. All other registrations (including golf) will be through the Attendee Registration portal.

LODGING: Downtown Madison hotels have limited capacity. The Madison Concourse Hotel, 1 W Dayton Street may still have rooms, although the conference room block expired March 18, 2024. |

- GOLF OUTING: The shotgun start begins at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at The Oaks Golf Course, located in Cottage Grove. Scramble format; $85 per person gets you 18 holes with cart at this course as well as box lunch and the turn. TICKET SALES END AT 5 PM ON Wednesday April 24, 2024.
- BICYCLE TECHNICAL TOUR: Join your public works colleagues on a bicycle tour of Madison. Casual 6- and 15-mile options are available led by Chris Barnes and Rick Eilertson. The ride will start near the Monona Terrace at 10 AM on Wednesday May 1. Rental bicycles are available. Helmets and comfortable spring weather clothing are recommended. - GET ACQUAINTED PARTY: We are shaking things up in Madison. The Get Acquainted Party will be in the Exhibitor Hall with exhibitor. Come meet your old and new public works colleagues, play games, have some food and beverages, and enjoy the night. The event starts at 5:00 p.m.
- YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HOSTED EVENT: At the Great Dane Pub in downtown Madison. Check the Whova app for details.
- AWARDS BANQUET: The Thursday night awards banquet will recognize this year’s projects and individuals who are being recognized through the Chapter’s annual awards program. In addition to celebrating people and projects with great food and company, the evening’s theme will be “alumni wear.”

WISCONSIN CHAPTER CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations requested by April 19, 2024 will be granted a full refund less a twenty-five dollar ($25) administrative fee. Refunds after April 19, 2024 may be granted due to special circumstances reviewed on a case by case basis by the host committee and then referred for approval of the Executive Committee. The host committee must receive all special circumstance requests by May 10, 2024 for consideration. All requests received after this date will be denied. Refund requests must be submitted to the host committee and treasurer describing the basis of the request and must include their mailing address and to whom the refund should be directed. All approved special request refunds will be issued after completion of the conference. |
