Winter Road Maintenance Operator Training: The Winter Maintenance Operator Certificate is for those “behind the wheel” during winter maintenance resulting in more effective, efficient, equitable and environmentally-friendly snow and ice control. It is a four-hour workshop. There is no content testing for this program - participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program as long as they have been present throughout the entire workshop. This is a fantastic training opportunity for new and experienced operators, supplemental operators from other departments, and contract operators, to ensure a strong overall understanding of winter maintenance operations.
Workshop cost is $50 per person - click the Register Now on Whova button above to register. An optional salt spreader calibration demonstration by Salt Wise will also be conducted (no charge) after lunch at the City of Lake Geneva municipal garage.
Golf Outing: CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER AND COURSE CONDITIONS - ALL TICKETS HAVE BEEN REFUNDED.
Scholarship Banquet: The Thursday evening Scholarship Banquet will begin with a social hour followed by a buffet-style dinner and presentation of APWA Wisconsin Chapter Scholarship Awards to several students pursuing technical or undergraduate degrees in programs related to public works and municipal engineering. The banquet will be held at the Grand Geneva Resort.
