The 2025 APWA Wisconsin Chapter Fall Conference will be held October 29th through the 31st, 2025 at UW-Platteville Campus in Platteville, WI. The conference will be hosted by Howard Crofoot, Director of Public Works, City of Platteville and Austin Polebitski, PhD, Department Head, Civil Engineering in the UW-Platteville College of Engineering Mathematics and Science. Kamron Nash, Director of Public Works, Village of Summit is the conference education program chair; Eric Dundee, Executive Director, Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District heads the Conference Planning Committee.
The Wisconsin Chapter is again honored to invite UW-Platteville students, faculty and staff to join us in all of our conference activities with complimentary registration. CONFERENCE PROGRAM
The full conference program is available through the Whova app or the link to the right. Highlights include:
Wednesday, October 29: Golf Outing at the Platteville Golf and Country Club, a tour of the A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing plant in Dickeyville, a new Public Works Outreach Activity with grade school students and our Get Acquainted Party with food, beverage, and games at the Broske Center in Platteville.
Thursday, October 30: General and Technical Breakout Sessions, a fire station tour, Chapter Business Meeting, Committee Meetings and Annual Scholarship Awards banquet on the UW-Platteville campus.
Friday, October 31: Conference Educational Sessions (including an ethics session), fire station tour, Lunch and Door Prizes.

The Golf Outing is limited to 60 participants and is not included in full registration. Golf ticket sales end October 22, so register early to reserve your spot.

GOLF OUTING: The shotgun start begins at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29th at the Platteville Golf & Country Club, 6729 N Water St., Platteville, WI 53818. Shotgun format; $60 per person gets you 18 holes with golf cart and a box lunch. TICKET SALES END AT 5 PM ON OCTOBER 22, 2025 - LIMITED TO 60 GOLFERS. Gary Blazek, Vierbicher Associates, is coordinating this golf outing.

BICYCLE RIDE: No bicycle ride has been planned due to the A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing Plant tour in Dickeyville, WI.
TRUCK 'N TREAT: The Wisconsin Chapter Community Engagement committee will host a public works outreach activity for elementary school age children at the Broske Center from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
GET ACQUAINTED PARTY: The Get Acquainted Party will be held at the Broske Center, 400 Pitt St, Platteville, WI 53818. Come meet your old and new public works colleagues, play games, have some food and beverages, and enjoy the night. The event starts at 5:00 p.m.
SCHOLARSHIP BANQUET: The Thursday evening Scholarship Banquet will begin with a social hour followed by a buffet-style dinner and presentation of APWA Wisconsin Chapter Scholarship Awards to several students pursuing technical or undergraduate degrees in programs related to public works and municipal engineering. The banquet will be held in Velzy Commons in Ullsvik Hall on the UW-Platteville campus.
MOBILE CONFERENCE APP:We are excited to be using the Whova mobile app for this conference based on its great success in our past conferences. All the conference information is available through it, saving the cost and waste of printed conference programs. Whova provides automatic conference updates with the conference program and speaker information for your access. Setup assistance will be available at the conference check-in desk.
Wisconsin Chapter Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made by the late registration date listed on the conference webpage and registration portal. A full refund will be made for any refund request received by the close of that day. A twenty-five-dollar ($25) administrative fee may be charged for all cancellations depending on venue and meal reservation costs after the later registration date. Special circumstances will be decided on a case-by-case basis, first by the host committee and then approved by the Executive Committee if necessary. The host committee must receive all special circumstance requests within seven (7) days after the start of the event. All requests received after this date will be denied. Individuals requesting a refund are required to submit their requests to the host committee. All approved refund requests will be issued via the Whova portal.
