We are thrilled to announce a new award opportunity: the Excellence in Snow and Ice Control Award. This award promotes excellence in managing public works snow and ice operations and removal, minimizing environmental impacts, and ensuring community safety and mobility during winter conditions.
Eligibility:
Any Wisconsin public works agency actively involved in snow and ice removal and operations is eligible to apply. APWA membership is not required. Public works is defined as the physical structures and facilities that are developed, owned, and maintained by public agencies to house governmental functions and provide water, power, waste disposal, transportation, and similar public services.
Criteria:
Nominations should explain the agency’s programs and accomplishments that clearly address each required category as indicated on the Awards Page.
Nomination Process:
- Nominations can be submitted by the managing Wisconsin public agency, with detailed nomination forms, categories, and scoring criteria are available on our Awards Page.
- Supporting documentation is limited to 20 pages.
- Submission Deadline: October 25, 2024
